I’ve heated up art. Now it’s hot.

The installation “Vrela” communicates through physical sensations of heat and light. A heater from an electric stove serves as the material from which the letters are bent. It is placed in a separate darkened room. It operates on a sensor principle: when a visitor enters the room, the heater turns on, gradually heating up and turning red. When the visitor leaves the room, the heater turns off. After a certain period, visitors begin to feel uncomfortable due to the rising temperature.

My sister Kaća found joy in making wounds. I documented them.

As a high school student, Kaća was a member of the Red Cross. There, she mastered the skill of realistic depiction of injuries and illnesses. She used makeup to paint wounds on the human body for demonstration exercises in first aid. For the purposes of this work, she painted wounds on our bodies.

I’m overqualified for this position. I need something bigger.

The installation “Something Big” is made from rebar used in construction. Part of the installation is displayed in the gallery, while another part is on the floor above (in an apartment). Photo documentation is presented as evidence of this.

From the professions of my parents, I select objects that represent their work. As their child, I unite these objects into a single piece and place them in an exhibition space intended for my profession. In doing so, this micro-environment of mine becomes a representation of the broader social context in which we exist. Within it, connections are developed and intertwined, reflecting heritage, aspects of responsibility, expectations, values, and fears that are universal to the society in which I live. This context is depicted through excessive labor and collective loss of motivation caused by economic conditions.
